I will echo some of Eridani's points about some of the UI stuff. I haven't tried any other method of playing. I'm using a official Rocksmith cable that I've had since probably about 2014-2015 when R2014 came out. I just played a bit, I haven't noticed any obvious notes not registering properly.

A slightly shittier Rocksmith is still awesome. On the other hand, for those that don't currently have R2014 I'd still highly recommend this. I'm especially worried because they announced the game will launch this summer and I just can't see them making R+ better than R2014 by then.

I'm really worried the game will quickly die because people won't be willing to switch over from R2014. I hope this actually gets fixed by release because I really want this franchise to keep going, but right now I don't see any reason to play this over R2014. It's not that old of a phone.Ĭurrently this just feels like R2014 with worse core gameplay, less songs, a bunch of missing features, and a wonky UI. I also can't use the phone app because my Galaxy S7 isn't supported, which seems a bit weird. I mean, I knew they wouldn't be (because why would bass players want chords, am I right?), but it still sucks. I also hate that the AI generated chords aren't available on bass, despite the fact that they would be incredibly useful for practicing improvised basslines. It all just adds extra time that takes away from actually practicing.

Maybe I'm just bad, but this game is literally aimed at people who are bad at guitar/bass. Maybe my intonation is off, but the notes register fine in the option screen so idk. Maybe it's the fact that I'm playing through aux-in (though since it works in R2014, Yousician, and TB strobe tuner it should work in R+ too). I get why they did that - Rocksmith 2014 would often count stuff that was clearly incorrect - but here I just end up missing notes that I know are correct and Rocksmith gives me no indication of what I did wrong (while still sometimes counting stuff that was clearly wrong). This is literally the worst hit feedback out of any rhythm game I've played because it doesn't even match the actual hit detection.

Sustains in general just seem to fail randomly while single notes will still count even if thy don't light up as being hit. They both light up the same way, but one of them randomly fails at the end, with no indication as to why.
